PRINCIPAL'S Message      March 23, 2015  

Dear Olive Families, 

I have to write this article before this Saturdays Sharks and Shamrocks Fundraising Auction, so I want to thank everyone ahead of time for the tireless efforts that have been put in to make this event happen. The benefit to Olive students is immense. Fundraising efforts support fieldtrips, school activities, school based counseling and the big winner this year and last year- technology. Add to that, we have great food and beverages, great friends and great music. Thank you in advance again to Olive School PTA and all the community donators.

San Francisco/Marin Food Bank will begin Wednesday, April 1st at 4:00 under the shade structure. We welcome any Olive School family and community members to access the food bank.

Roadtrip!!!! Six Olive students, their families, Ms. Distad and I will be at UC Riverside March 27-29 to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind State competition. Go Tayla, Allen, Parker, Syrah, Felix and Nathan!!!!

Olive Auction 

Olive Elementary's Online Auction 2015
If you were not able to attend our live Sharks & Shamrocks auction on March 21st fear not! Starting on Friday, March 27 at 9am, Olive Elementary's PTA will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items that remain from the large number of donations we kindly received for our live auction. Through this online auction, we hope to raise an additional $5,000 for our students at Olive. There are lots of gift certificates for local restaurants, stores and services.  Log-on to Bidding for Good this Friday, start the bidding and in doing so, support our kids and Olive Elementary. 

 School Fuel It’s Time to Get Rolling for the Tour of Novato!
The Tour of Novato has kicked off and we want to make this another great year! Now’s the time to register and start fundraising.  If you register before April 1, the fee is discounted to $25 per participant/registrant for the Novato Classic, Family Ride and Downtown Walking Adventure; and $50 for the West Marin Metric Century.  If you don't feel like riding or walking, please consider supporting one of our students or teachers who has signed up to support our school!
