PRINCIPAL'S Message       OCT. 24, 2014

Dear Olive Families,
As we head into fall our weather is finally changing. Students need to dress in layers and be prepared for the cold. With the changing weather the cold/flu season is upon us. Our teachers remind students to wash hands, use hand sanitizer and cover their mouth when coughing or sneezing. If your child is sick with a fever or vomiting they should stay home for 24 hours after the fever or vomiting. There are many concerns about the Enterovirus 68 for children that have asthma. Please consult your doctor if you feel your child’s symptoms are not getting any better. I have also posted a link on our website regarding Ebola and Vaccinations.
Just a reminder school begins at 8:40. The 8:38 bell is a reminder and the 8:40 bell begins school. If your child is walking onto campus at 8:40 they need to get a tardy pass from Ms. Telles at the shade structure.
Next week, Friday, October 31, we will have our Halloween Parade at 1:00 on the lower blacktop. Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful costumes. Please do not send your child to school in costume. No violent costumes or fake weapons.

All my best,

Mrs. Sesma-Olinyk
